OPEN SHARED CALENDAR ON MAC HOW TO
We’ll show you how to add the shared calendar to a Google calendar, as this the most popular calendar app, but you can add a shared calendar to pretty much any decent calendar app you care to mention. That process is pretty seamless, but not much help if your recipient uses a non-Microsoft product. If they click “Accept and view calendar” then they’ll be taken to to log into a Microsoft account, where the shared calendar will be made available. The person you’ve shared your calendar is sent an email. The shared Calendar appears in the Folder pane under the Shared Calendars heading. The shared Mail folder appears in the Folder pane. In the Search box, type the name of the person who granted you access, click the person's name in the search results, and then click Open. How the recipient accepts your invitation to view a calendar is where the process differs a good bit from sharing with someone inside your organization. In the Folder Type list, click Inbox, Calendar, or Address Book. When you open your Calendar in Microsoft Outlook 2016 for Mac, the Open Shared Calendar button on the ribbon is unavailable. Configure the Calendar sharing feature via webmail. The Calendar permissions button will now be clickable. Configure your Exchange Web Services (EWS) account in Outlook for Mac. Check the box 'Hide On My Computer folders' and close the preferences. When you’re done, click “OK” to share your calendar. You cant open a shared calendar in Outlook 2016 for Mac. To resolve this issue, in Outlook 2016 for Mac, click on Outlook, then Preferences, then General.
By default, they’ll have the a permission level of “Can view all details,” which you can change if you want. Unlike sharing with people in your organization, you can’t give external people “Can edit” or “Delegate” rights.
The person you’ve chosen will be added to the Permissions window. Add the person you want to share your calendar with and then click “OK.”
